“With the right of owning a firearm goes the constant responsibility of handling it safely and using it wisely.” We as a Public Safety Agency are deeply saddened by the recent tragedies however we feel these incidents are ones that are contrary to lawful and responsible firearm ownership. We believe in and support the Second Amendment, and STRONGLY encourage and promote education in all areas of firearms and hunting safety. Our 2014 Gun Bash Fundraiser follows all local, state and federal firearms regulations and all winners MUST complete and pass a PICS (Pennsylvania Instant Check System) background check in order to claim any firearms. All firearms MUST be claimed at Maurer's Trading Post, Franklin, PA a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF) Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) firearms dealer. Pennsylvania winners requesting an in state transfer of firearms MUST do so through a BATF approved FFL dealer coordinated through Maurer's Trading Post at their expense. As per Pennsylvania Act 59 of 1999, Revision to 18 PA C.S. 6142 all firearms transferred within Pennsylvania will be provided with a locking device for that firearm. Winners residing outside of Pennsylvania MUST adhere to all firearms regulations within their home state with the firearm transferred to and through a BATF approved FFL dealer in that respective state at their expense.
